Well, hello there!! So sorry to have gone MIA, but it has been all kinds of busy in my life lately!! We have done some traveling around to visit some of our grands and also managed to spend some quality time at home with some of them and some of our kiddos! It is tough with everyone spread out all over the place!! I have not been posting lately, but rest assured I have been scrapping my little creative heart out!! I have soooo much that I want to share with you! I promise to try to do better and keep the posts flowing!
I am currently working on 8 albums simultaneously! LOL I do not scrapbook chronologically either, so as you can very well imagine I am kind of all over the place! This past week I scrapped a few pictures from 3 days ago and also a couple of pages from over 20 years ago! Say whuuuut?! It is utter madness I tell you!
Thought I'd get back to sharing with a cute page of my oldest daughter and her feisty lil' sprout! We just had a nice visit with them and I am missing them terribly already. Here is a page that makes me grin every time I look at it! This little guy is full to the top with love!
My daughter took him on a dinner date!! Cute, yes?! I wanted to do something fun with this page so I fired up my Cricut and cut out a large hexagon and several smaller ones. I cut a strip of the black and white stripes and started building a background from there up. I pulled the colors from their clothes for the color scheme.
I used my Cricut for the title. I welded together the letters in "Buddies" for gluing ease, but kept them separate for the word "Best". I wanted them to have a little bit different of a look! I added some accent dots to my letters with a white gel pen. I added a few embellishments around the photos and added the enamel dots around the title; again using the same color scheme.
I arranged the hexagons so that they would look like they were cascading across the page.
I added a few more embellishments, a puffy heart sticker and the date! I add 98% of my dates this way. I use a roller stamp and stamp it on the excess strip that I cut from my base white pieces! I have a pile of those, because I usually cut them down to adhere to a piece of colored or patterned paper! Once I have stamped the date, I ruffle the edges and tuck it under a photo somewhere out of the way! It's one of those signature things that carries over from page to page.
Ah, It is nice to be back! I truly love blogging! I need to figure out how to manage my time better though, I believe! I am a slow scrapper and that tends to creep into my blogging time! It's a real pickle of a puzzle! LOL
Ok, I am off to make some dinner! I hope that you enjoy the rest of the weekend! I will be back soonest with lots more to share!
