Hello there!! Welcome, welcome to my little ole' blog!! If you are new to my site you can click here to get to know me and see exactly why I think scrapping is so darned important!
Ok, on to today's post!
Grand daughters are the sweetest little things! We got especially lucky with ours! She is smart and sweet and beautiful and so much fun! She is quick to laugh and can be so silly! She is such a great kid! My page is all about her today! Take a look:
Some days she looks like her pretty Mommy and some days I can see her Daddy in that sweet little face!
I wanted her page to have a very feminine feel to it, so I kept the colors soft and light feeling. I wanted there to be some texture though, so lots of things are popping off the page.
I used a cutting die to make the flowers. I cut out several sizes and gently bent up the edges. I added some darker colors for the centers, but embossed them first with a polka dotted embossing folder.
I added a couple of butterflies to the page, but only glued them in the center so they look like they may have just landed! I also added some bright colored climbing leaves! The butterflies are a die cut and the leaves are from a punch.
I added some subtle stamping to the background page to fill in some of the white space and added my date. I was on the fence about whether to add a title or not! I am still undecided and may go back yet to do that! What do you think? Title or no title?
Here is the finished page one more time:
I am loving getting all of these pictures on to pages and into albums! They are going to make great keepsakes for my kids! They are truly a labor of love and one that I am happy to be doing!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I will see you next time!
