Make it again Monday!

Hello there!  It's a new week and that means it is time for another Make it again Monday!  I have decided after much thought to re-do my 4 children's albums.  So, every Monday I will share the old page here with you and then the new one.

Here is the old page:

This little cutie is all grown up now with a little of his own!  My goodness does time ever fly.   Seems like just yesterday he was toddling around the house!  I sure do miss those days! (*tiny Mom sob!*)

Ok, on to the page!
I wanted to change things up a bit, so I got right to work!  Here is the new page:

I started by gently prying the photo up and double matting it.  The burgundy in the picture was a challenge to work with.  I decided though that rather than try to match it I would go with a contrasting color scheme.  I pulled the blue from the clothes in the photo and went with that instead.

I punched a ton of these cute little circles and sewed them in place along the edge creating a border.  I did some light stamping and added the date.

I made an embellishment cluster to add some visual interest.  I sewed on each of the circles before attaching them.  The title is a mixture of a flat sticker and Thickers (raised puffy letters).  The sentiment is cut from a Project life card and mounted onto a banner that I cut by hand.  I topped it with a cute little puffy heart sticker and added some lines for my journaling then called it done.

Here is that new page one more time:

Big difference!  I am much happier with the new page.  One more done...yay!

Hope your week is off to a good start!  Thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to come back soon! I have lots more to share with you.
