Daddy snuggles!

Hello there!  Do you have any of those photos in your stash that just melt you?   Today's page happens to have a few of those for me!  As a parent you tend to second (third and fourth!) guess yourself sometimes.  You plod through every day hoping that you have done the best job with your kids that you possibly can.  Some days feel easy and like winners, while other days are tougher and really try your patience!  Then they all buildup to turn your children into adult people.  If you are like me you pay attention to their actions as grown ups to look for those little clues, those confirmations that you were successful in all that raising!  The pictures on my page today gave me a little glimpse into the genuine love and sweet relationship between my son and his beautiful little.  It offered me a tiny sense that maybe enough of what I was trying to teach sunk in and I did ok!  Also, on a side note...that sweet small boy from yesterday's post is the grown up kid in these photos.

Here is a look at today's page:

He is my oldest son and I simply adore him.  I was a young Mom and he and I learned a lot of things together by trial and error!  Fortunately, he was an easy kid! Ah, the feels!  These are the types of photos that make scrapbooking so worth while!

About the page:

I  wanted it to have a soft feel to it, so I went with pinks and petite patterns.  I cut a piece of patterned paper in half diagonally and stamped the other side of the page with a tiny little image in a random pattern.

I tucked a second piece of patterned paper under the first one to break things up some.  I used a lace border punch on a piece of green vellum and tucked that in there too! My title is a combination of little gold letters and large pink polka dotted letters.  I ran both through my sewing machine to keep everything in place.

I made a little embellishment cluster by combining a heart punch; which I stapled in place.  Finally, I added a puffy sticker.  I double mounted all of the photos and embossed polka dots on to the bottom layer.   I also sewed a border around the triangle edges.

Here is another view of all of the layers.  Lots going on, but because the colors are all subtle it doesn't feel too busy.

Here is the completed page one more time:

I hope that you are finding the time to get your photos scrapped and into albums!  It is such an important task to get our stories on paper to be shared with other people!!  If you are interested in getting started, but don't know where to start, I would love to have you join my Facebook scrapping page!  We have a ton of fun over there and there is oodles of amazing inspiration!  You can find us here:
