Hello there! Are you a double page spread kind of scrapper or do you prefer to stick to a single page? I think I prefer a single page layout, but I find that since I take so many pictures that I often spill over on to two pages!
On that 2 page note, I have another 2 page spread of one of our adorable grands to share with you today! He is such a fun kid! He is so full of energy and wide open! Here he is playing at the park one day:
I kept the design simple and pulled the colors from his outfit. I mimicked the design from one page to the next though to keep that feeling of flow happening. I sponged the edges of the patterned papers and matted the photos against white, so that they would stand out. I embossed the long gray strips and added a tiny stitched scalloped border. I stamped the background with one of my favorite splatter stamps.
I used both the Chevron pieces and the negative piece for a fun visual (one on each page!). I cut out the letters in green and gray and off set them just enough to give them a shadow effect. I repeated the long strip and splatter stamp process on this page for continuity. I will probably go back in later and add some journaling. It is so true that pictures tell a story, but a written reminder is also a nice touch!
Today is a great day to make a scrapbook page!! What are you waiting for? Start small, start simple! grab a photo and some of your favorite supplies and get your scrap on!!
I hope that you have a wonderful day! I will be back soon with lots more to share!
